I’m Kaili, a software developer who builds thoughtful websites for small businesses and independent creatives.

Technical enough to build it properly, practical enough to make it useful.

My main work is software development, so I am comfortable with the technical side of a website: responsive behaviour, accessibility, performance, integrations and deployment.

But most website problems are not purely technical. The real work is often understanding what someone is trying to communicate, reorganising scattered content and helping visitors find the next step more easily.

Website building is a creative side pursuit. I take on a small number of projects where I like the people, believe in the work and can make a meaningful difference—from the website itself through to practical details such as domains, email, redirects and handover.

I enjoy the point where code, design and someone else’s real-world problem meet.
Process

A clear, collaborative process from the first conversation through to launch and handover.

Understand, shape, build, refine, launch.

  1. Understand

We begin with your existing material, the people the website needs to serve and anything that currently feels unclear, difficult or outdated.

  2. Shape

I organise the content, page structure and visitor journey before polishing the visual design. A beautiful layout cannot rescue a confusing message.

  3. Build

I build a responsive and accessible website using modern tools, while keeping the implementation as simple as the project allows.

  4. Refine

We review the working website together, improve the wording and adjust the details that only become clear once everything is in place.

  5. Launch

I handle deployment, domains, redirects, email continuity and handover so the website is ready to use and straightforward to maintain.

Services

A focused, honest list. If a project needs something outside it, I’ll say so.

What I can help with.

  • New websites

Small business and personal websites, from the initial structure and visual direction through to development and launch.

  • Website refreshes

Restructuring and rebuilding an existing website while preserving the content, identity and features that are already working.

  • Content and structure

Turning scattered or overly complicated material into clearer pages, navigation and calls to action.

  • Content management

A practical CMS or editing setup for content that genuinely needs to be updated without relying on a developer.

  • Domains and email

DNS, redirects, domain migration and email configuration, including support during platform or provider changes.

  • Launch and handover

Testing, deployment, useful analytics and straightforward guidance for managing the website after launch.
